Raritan Bay Medical Center Old Bridge

Located in Old Bridge, Hackensack Meridian Health Raritan Bay Medical Center Old Bridge is a three-time Magnet-recognized hospital. With 113 beds, Raritan Bay Old Bridge provides general medical-surgical, cardiac and critical care. The medical center’s “one-stop-shop” Medical and Surgical Pavilion at 2 Hospital Plaza is home to: five operating rooms and the Center for Robotic Surgery; a diagnostic and women’s imaging center featuring 3-D mammography; a comprehensive diabetes center; and private physician offices with specialties including cardiology, family medicine, urology, and dentistry and more.

Raritan Bay Old Bridge is home to the da Vinci Xi, a robotic-assisted surgical device that is 100 percent controlled by the surgeon and enables surgeons to operate through a few small incisions. Designed to further advance minimally invasive surgery, the da Vinci Xi can be used across a broad spectrum of surgical procedures in the areas of gynecology, urology, thoracic and general surgery, including colorectal surgery. The da Vinci Xi allows for either a single incision or 3-4 8-mm incisions so patients benefit from less scarring, quicker recovery and less pain medication.

The medical center’s comprehensive Human Motion Institute is devoted to providing superior outcomes in all areas of musculoskeletal treatment and care. Both the Neck and Back Center and Hand Center use a collaborative approach to diagnose and treat neck, back and hand pain. A nurse navigator is also available to assist patients with the coordination of care.

The Institute for Weight Loss at Old Bridge is accredited by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program as a Comprehensive Bariatric Center. The institute provides customized medical and surgical solutions for individuals seeking weight loss, as well as nutrition and lifestyle counseling and support groups. A nurse navigator helps coordinate care for patients at every stage of their weight loss journey.

An affiliate of the nationally renowned Joslin Diabetes Center, Raritan Bay Old Bridge’s diabetes center provides the latest advances for treating all endocrine and metabolic disorders and complications. A fully integrated clinical support team includes American Diabetes Association certified educators, nutritionists, and board-certified endocrinologists. The center boasts a state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen designed for nutrition education and healthy cooking classes. The medical center uses a holistic approach to care for all patients including pre- and post-surgery, labor and delivery, and critical care. Other specialty services include: the Center for Sleep Medicine, Center for Women, which provides 3-D mammography, breast MRI, ultrasound, and bone densitometry; Center for Balance; pulmonary rehabilitation program to assist those with COPD or other pulmonary ailments improve their breathing, and physical therapy.
