Director, Conflict of Interests Management, HMH Corporate Compliance

Compliance, ethics and integrity are often used interchangeably however these terms have different practical meanings in research. This lecture will take a deep dive into the “dark-side” of research, exploring each of these concepts and how all three are essential to ensure robust and rigorous results. Using a case study, attendees will be able to recognize behaviors that constitute research misconduct and how the choices researchers make can impact the research enterprise. Attendees will be provided with HMH resources and policies to ensure their own research encompasses these three essential components.

Target Audience:  Physicians, scientists, nurses, and any other team members that may be involved or interested in research
