The HMH Research Institute presents in its Investigator Training Lecture Series Principal Investigator and Clinician: How to Efficiently and Productively Wear Multiple Hats When You Only Have One Head.

Serving as a principal investigator (PI) is no small commitment; the PI holds the ultimate responsibility for ensuring scientific integrity and regulatory compliance. Dr. Janow will provide strategies for balancing those responsibilities while still maintaining a busy clinical practice. She will share guidance from the literature, what has worked for her personally, and will ask Drs. Anna Broder, Katharine Clouser, and Yukiko Kimura to share what has worked for them.
Target Audience: Physicians, scientists, nurses, and all other team members involved or interested in research
LECTURE SERIES OBJECTIVES:
- Guide researchers on getting started in research, including obtaining funding, feasibility, and study design;
- Create awareness regarding regulatory and scientific issues surrounding research;
- Inform researchers on processes related to managing the project and thereafter, including publishing.
