Hackensack Meridian Health has reached a new, collaborative agreement with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New York. This contract is effective April 1, 2025 and provides direct access for commercial members to Hackensack Meridian Health’s hospitals and patient care locations in Bergen, Hudson, Middlesex and Monmouth counties.
This new agreement cements access to Hackensack Meridian Health's doctors and facilities for Anthem’s 3.4 million commercial members, including 600,000 members in New Jersey.
“At Hackensack Meridian Health, we’re committed to providing high-quality care to all patients throughout New Jersey,” said Patrick Young, president of Population Health. “Our agreement with Anthem will help ensure their members have direct access to Hackensack Meridian Health’s award-winning hospitals and physicians.”
“The terms of this agreement reflect Hackensack Meridian Health’s agreements with other major payors renewed over the past year which emphasize the importance of collaboration between health systems and insurers in maintaining uninterrupted access to care,” added Young.
