George J. Ferrone, M.D. is Hackensack University Medical Center's new Chair of the Department of Radiology.
Dr. Ferrone joined Hackensack Radiology Group in 2002. Over the last two years, Dr. Ferrone has served as President of Hackensack University Medical Center's Medical Executive Committee. He's also been the longstanding head of the Interventional Section.
"We know Dr. Ferrone’s experience, considerable skill, as well as his forged relationships throughout the network, will continue to positively impact the department, as well as institution as a whole, well into the future," Lisa Tank, M.D., FACP, chief medical officer of Hackensack University Medical Center.
The last several years have brought tremendous growth and change both to the department as well as the institution at large. The Department of Radiology has grown in size and complexity, moving from a self-contained entity to one which exists within a larger network framework-with concomitant benefits and challenges.
