Jersey Shore University Medical Center’s new $45 million cardiovascular suite opens December 29. The suite, located on the 4th floor of the NorthWest Pavilion, provides 30,000 sq. ft. of brand new treatment space, nearly tripling patient capacity.
As Monmouth and Ocean counties’ only open heart and minimally invasive cardiac surgery center, Joint Commission and NJ Department of Health designated Comprehensive Stroke Center, and major academic medical center, Jersey Shore University Medical Center (JSUMC) provides the community with advanced structural heart, electrophysiology (EP), and emergency heart attack and stroke treatment options, as well as groundbreaking patient clinical trials and newly-approved cardiovascular devices..
The suite features four dedicated cardiac catheterization labs, four EP labs, and two hybrid operating rooms, as well as a 28-bay patient prep and recovery area that nearly triples current patient capacity. The design and functionality of the suite was thoughtfully created with spaces structured to promote efficiency, and provide the best experience for patients and their families.
