What You Need To Know

Hackensack Meridian Health unveiled two new state-of-the-art spaces with a dual ribbon cutting on July 11. The new BSL-3 (Biosafety Containment Lab Level 3) and office space for the Cancer Prevention Precision Control Institute (CPPCI) are both new spaces for the Center for Discovery and Innovation (CDI) on the sixth floor of the building that also houses the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
The new, highly-specialized, BSL-3 space is a high-containment laboratory, which enables CDI to expand its research into developing novel therapies targeting high-threat infectious pathogens, as part of its role in leading several NIH supported national drug accelerators. The CPPCI is a new institute at the CDI, which works to create population-level health solutions by addressing inequities and access to cancer care.
