What you need to know
- Bayshore Medical Center is currently undergoing construction and building the new Dr. Robert H. Harris Emergency Care Center.
- At this time, part of the expansion project requires construction directly outside of the Same Day Surgery waiting area on the west side of the campus, near the Garden State Parkway, expected to last 4-6 weeks from 7 am – 3:30 pm.
- Same Day Surgery Waiting Area will be temporarily relocated to a designated area in the back of the Bayshore Cafeteria.
The 32,000 square foot expansion will have the capacity to care for more than 55,000 people annually and will provide space necessary to care for the community in a comfortable and private environment.
Your patients may experience noise and minor vibrations during this time. We understand that it may be disruptive during your patients’ visit, and are offering earplugs to patients at any time during their stay. Earplugs will be available at the nurses’ station and through Concierge Care. Visitors will continue to receive coffee vouchers when waiting for family members or loved ones.
