Jersey Shore University Medical Center held its 14th Annual Resident Research Day on June 11. The program highlighted research conducted during the prior academic year by students, residents, physicians and other clinical staff.
More than 120 abstracts were presented in poster form in the East/West Concourse and over 250 clinicians from across Hackensack Meridian Health in attendance. Susana Martinez-Conde, Ph.D, director, Laboratory of Integrative Neuroscience and Professor of Ophthalmology, Neurology and Physiology & Pharmacology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, delivered the keynote address on the topic of Collaboration in Research.
Awards were presented for best oral presentations, best case reports and best original research. Nasim Ahmed, M.D. and Arif Asif, M.D., presented their research from 2018.
