Jersey Shores Cardiology Fellowship Achieves Renewed Accreditation

The Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program, under direction of Chief of Cardiology Director Dawn Calderon, D.O., and Assistant Director Brett Sealove, M.D., has achieved continued accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

The ACGME is responsible for accrediting the majority of graduate medical training programs for physicians in the U.S. Jersey Shore’s three-year Fellowship Program offers comprehensive training for cardiologists, provided by the medical center’s seasoned and expert cardiologists Renato Apolito, M.D., and Ashish Patel, M.D.

The program's goal is to teach fellows clinical knowledge, procedural skills, clinical judgment, professionalism, interpersonal skills, and ethical insight in the management of basic and complex cardiovascular diseases.
