Vincent D. Robbins, FACPE, FACHE presents Dr. Gary Noris with a plaque in honor of his son.

On April 17, Ocean leadership, MONOC (Monmouth Ocean Hospital Services Corporation), and local first aid squads attended a dedication ceremony to present Gary Noris, M.D. of Ocean Medical Center’s Emergency Department with a plaque in honor of his son who died of an opioid overdose. Vince Robbins, president and CEO, MONOC, presented the plaque to Dr. Noris.

MONOC raised funds in honor of Dr. Noris' son to supply volunteer first aid squads throughout Ocean and Monmouth counties with the anti-opioid medication Narcan (naloxone). The plaque will be displayed in the EMS room.

Dr. Noris said, “If we can save one life and one family from going through what we have gone through, the program will be a success.”
