
What You Need To Know
Jasdeep S. Hundal, PsyD, ABPP-CN, Board Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist at Jersey Shore University Medical Center is conducting a clinical trial on breast cancer survivors (stages 2 or 3) between the ages of 20 and 65 years old who live in central New Jersey. The study will last about 4 months (17-18 weeks) from the time of consenting. Study Details:- Treatment is free, including three detailed clinical evaluations.
- You are a Stage II or Stage III breast cancer survivor, after one round of chemotherapy which finished at least 1 month ago, and you now have problems making decisions, remembering, or focusing.
- You need to speak English well.
- You will play therapeutic video games that adapt to you (so you can win); Games help your decision-making, memory, focus, and mood. They may also strengthen your arms and improve your hands.
- You will play seated, while wearing a study device and may rest your arms on a table.
- Your medication and health care will be monitored, and you will receive weekly follow-up calls.
- Sessions last from 15 minutes up to 40 minutes, several times a week, for 8 weeks.
- Your spouse/caregiver will also participate in this study, and be present for your sessions to let researchers know how you progress.
