Jersey Shore University Medical Center Breast surgery recently received full accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers for years 10/2019 - 10/2022.
The accreditation was received with no discrepancies and was cited for best practice in research and staff education.
To achieve voluntary NAPBC re-accreditation, Jersey Shore University Medical Center demonstrated compliance with the NAPBC standards reviewing leadership, clinical services, research, community outreach, professional education and quality improvement initiatives.
In addition to achieving full NAPBC accreditation status until October 2022, Jersey Shore University Medical Center was cited by NAPBC reviewers for demonstrating best practices in research and staff education. Additionally, NAPBC reviewers recognized the Breast Center for providing specialized clinics for patients at high risk of developing breast cancer, and for conducting multidisciplinary genetics and breast tumor conferences.
