3 Ways Were Expanding Our Cardiovascular Program

Here are three new, advanced cardiovascular services we now offer:
1. Heart Recovery Program: Located at Hackensack University Medical Center this innovative, multidisciplinary program provides advanced circulatory support with Impella® to treat cardiovascular compromise during a myocardial infarction. Patients are then referred to and followed by the cardiac rehab program and invited to attend our annual Heart Recovery Reunion in February.
2. Dedicated Vascular Laboratory: Using the most advanced interventional peripheral imaging technology and equipment, the lab, located at Hackensack University Medical Center, performs therapies to treat blockages in the entire peripheral cardiovascular system. The procedures reduce the incidence of strokes as well as amputations.
3. Hybrid Operating Rooms: Hackensack Meridian Health is building three new hybrid ORs, which are among a handful of operating rooms in the nation where open or minimally invasive surgical procedures and catheterization can be performed simultaneously. The Hybrid OR combines conventional operating rooms with high-tech imaging, allowing surgeons and their colleagues to work together in the same room.
