Congratulations to Dr. Kaufman for his outstanding presentation at the American Spinal Injury Association's Annual Scientific Meeting.

Representing Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Dr. Kaufman shared his groundbreaking work on ventilator weaning through phrenic nerve reconstruction with esteemed colleagues from around the world. His research offers new hope and highlights the incredible advancements being made for individuals with spinal cord injuries.

Dr. Kaufman is the Co-Director of the Center for Treatment of Paralysis and Reconstructive Nerve Surgery at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He has pioneered phrenic nerve reconstruction and furthermore, weaned ventilator-dependent tetraplegic patients off their ventilator.
