Dr. James Nangeroni celebrated the completion of his 500th robotic case with leadership and the surgical team last year in 2023. SOMC is currently at a total robotic volume of 835 cases since the robotic-assisted surgery program started in June 2022. In March 2023, the team acquired an additional robot to keep up with the volume.
