Kerry Lanigan, M.D., has joined Southern Ocean Medical Center as hospitalist director replacing Jason Nehmad, M.D., who was appointed chief medical officer.
Dr. Lanigan has been a member of our hospitalist team for more than a year. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Lanigan comes to Southern Ocean Medical Center from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.
“Dr. Lanigan has been an integral part of our hospitalist team and has done a tremendous job working with our case management and nursing teams providing exceptional clinical skills, patient management and compassion,” said Jason Nehmad, M.D., chief medical officer, Southern Ocean Medical Center. “In collaboration with our ED, ICU, Subspecialist and Surgery teams, she will undoubtedly take the hospitalist team to the next level.”
