
Andre Goy, M.D., M.S., chair and director of the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center was recently honored at the American Cancer Society’s 40th Annual Diamond Ball.
The ball was held at Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park, NJ. The Wizard of Oz themed event for the Ruby anniversary focused on courageous cancer patients, compassionate volunteers and innovative medical experts in the oncology field.
In addition to Dr. Goy, Helena Theurer, board member of the Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation was honored with the 16th Annual Jody A. Morrow Humanitarian Award. Dr. Goy was honored as one of seven accomplished medical honorees.
The American Cancer Society is currently funding seven research grants in New Jersey totaling $3.25 million dollars.
