CBSN New York recently featured Herman Morchel, M.D., of Hackensack University Medical Center about embarking on a second career as a physician.
Dr. Morchel began his residency at age 52 – decades older than his fellow interns. Many of whom first thought he was a senior attending.
CBS has a new medical show “Carol’s Second Act” about a woman whose life is similar to that of Dr. Morchel.
In his interview with CBSN New York Dr. Morchel talks about his life story and how it mirrors the woman in the show.
Prior to his career change to a medical doctor, Dr. Morchel had a long career in electronics systems engineering.
