Dr. Morchel began his residency at age 52 – decades older than his fellow interns. Many of whom first thought he was a senior attending.
CBS has a new medical show “Carol’s Second Act” about a woman whose life is similar to that of Dr. Morchel.

Prior to his career change to a medical doctor, Dr. Morchel had a long career in electronics systems engineering.
