Nasim Ahmed, M.D., board certified trauma surgeon at Jersey Shore University Medical Center recently co-authored a study that was published in the Journal of Trauma & Acute Care Surgery.
Dr. Ahmed's study examined outcomes in cases of elderly patients who fell and whether the higher level of care received at designated trauma centers significantly affected their outcomes.
