Bonita Stanton, M.D., Dean of the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine and Lisa Tank, M.D., Chief of Medicine at Hackensack University Medical Center, were named to Becker's Hospital Review's 2019 list of 105 Physician Leaders to Know.
All physicians featured on the list were selected for demonstrating outstanding leadership and clinical expertise throughout their careers.
In addition to being the founding dean of the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, Dr. Stanton has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed manuscripts and served as an editor of several textbooks, including the Nelson Textbook of Pediatrics.
Dr. Tank has been recognized by the American Geriatrics Society as Clinician of the Year. Prior to her current role, she oversaw Hackensack's geriatrics program which attained Level 3 Certification from the Patient-Centered Medical Home Program by the National Committee for Quality Assurance in 2012. She also helped implement and expand several core programs serving older adults and students of geriatric nursing and medicines.
