What You Need To Know

WHAT'S HAPPENING: Epic will undergo a system downtime for quarterly updates. These updates will be applied to increase efficiency, improve care delivery and meet new regulatory requirements.

WHEN: Wednesday, February 11, from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m.

THINGS TO KNOW: 

  • Epic Hyperspace Read Only will be available.
  • You can view existing information (census, results, medication records).
  • You cannot enter new information until the pause is over.
  • Scheduled reports from Epic and Epic data on Enterprise Analytics & Insight will be delayed.
  • Customizations will be temporarily unavailable beginning Friday, February 6, at 9 p.m. until the updates are complete on Wednesday, February 11, at 4 a.m. These include:
    • Creating or editing filters in Chart Review
    • Applying filters in work lists
    • Customizing advanced settings for Charge Router Reconciliation and Routed Charges reports
    • Creating or editing SmartPhrases and SmartLinks
    • Personalizing dashboards
    • Creating, editing and sharing NoteWriter Macros
    • Creating or editing QuickActions
    • Adding users to In Basket pools
  • Important: Please review your department’s downtime procedures
  • Once the updates are complete, team members can preview changes in the Epic Playground.
  • What’s New in-syste notifications will display within each Epic user’s workspace, tailored to their usage of Epic
  • Educational materials will become available on the Epic Learning Home Dashboard
