What You Need To Know
Cyber threats targeting individuals often take the form of social engineering. Social engineering is an attempt to trick someone into revealing information (e.g., a password) or taking an action (e.g., clicking a link, opening a document) that can be used to attack systems or networks. HMH has seen an uptick in social engineering attempts in the last few months.
HMH has implemented a new notification within Duo to alert you when a phone number is added or removed from your account. When this occurs, you will be prompted to confirm whether or not this activity was performed by you. If you did not perform this action, please immediately select “No, this wasn’t me”. The DTS Operations team will contact you and assist with resetting passwords and updating your Duo profile to include the correct phone number.
Refer to the Duo User Guide for instructions on how to enroll or modify devices in your Duo profile.
