What You Need To Know
WHAT'S HAPPENING: In order to increase efficiency, improve care delivery and meet new regulatory requirements, Epic will undergo a 3-hour downtime for Quarterly Updates. In addition, Epic Refuel (Wave 1) enhancement features will be applied to ensure alignment with Epic national best practices, advance operational efficiencies, and streamline clinical processes to support enhanced patient care.
WHEN:
- Quarterly Updates - Sunday, November 3, 2024 beginning at 1:00 a.m.
- Epic Refuel - Monday, November 11, 2024 (no downtime)
HOW DOES THIS IMPACT ME:
- During the scheduled downtime, the system is in a "Read Only" state. This means access to retrieve information including census, results and medication records is available.
- No new information will appear until the downtime is complete. Scheduled reports from Epic and Epic data on Enterprise Analytics & Insight will be delayed due to this downtime.
- Please take the time to review your local downtime procedures.
EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES:
Now Available:
- Team members can preview update changes in the Epic Playground.
Available beginning October 20:
- “What’s New” training content for the Quarterly Updates will appear within each Epic user’s workspace, tailored to their usage of Epic.
- Quarterly Update and Epic Refuel application-specific educational materials will become available on the Epic Learning Home Dashboard.
