Epic users will now receive personalized training content for Quarterly Updates directly within their workspace via "What's New" notifications.
The first of these in-system notifications will arrive on October 20 in advance of the next Quarterly Update which is scheduled for Sunday, November 3, 2024. The content will be tailored to each individual user based on their usage of Epic, providing education on upcoming changes.
Epic will undergo a 3-hour downtime for these updates beginning at 1:00 a.m. Moving forward, the “What’s New” notifications will appear in Epic two weeks prior to each Quarterly Update.
Additionally, on November 11, Epic Refuel (Wave 1) enhancement features will be applied to ensure alignment with Epic national best practices, advance operational efficiencies, and streamline clinical processes to support enhanced patient care. There will be no downtime for these Epic Refuel enhancement features.
