What You Need To Know
When: Tuesday, April 16, 2024
What: Beginning Tuesday, April 16, the patient name in Epic will be updated to display in the following format: LastName, LegalFirstName “PreferredName” in clinical workspaces.
- Changes will appear in ED track boards, patient list columns, scheduling views, and other key places in Epic.
- Legal and financial documents will still show the legal name. All other applications will show the legal name only.
- This change will not impact the patient wristband or the Storyboard.
- There is no anticipated downtime or actions required by team members.
