What You Need To Know

  • The new enhanced Geometric Length of Stay (GMLOS) Prediction from XSOLIS Case Management Analytics will be live in the Storyboard beginning 9 a.m., Tuesday, May 2.
  • GMLOS is used to compute reimbursement. The GMLOS Prediction is calculated from the weighted average of the top 3 diagnoses (DRGs) most likely to match each patient's billed DRG.

GMLOS is statistically adjusted value for all cases for a given diagnosis. Medicare has predetermined LOS based on their data. This data can guide decisions about anticipated discharge dates for patients, and act as a LOS target to maintain a point of comparison throughout the encounter.

The current GMLOS Prediction value is based on one diagnosis.
