Airplane Mode Test Downtime on March 13

Published:
February 24, 2022

What you need to know

On-call team members will not have remote IT network access during the network-wide "Airplane Mode" system downtime on Sunday, March 13 from 10 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.

If you are a team member on-call during this time, you will NOT have network remote access, and will only be able to provide support while onsite within the HMH network.

All network traffic, including email, Internet access and any third-party applications that require internet access, will be unavailable during this downtime.

The downtime will test the network's "Airplane Mode" that in the case of a large-scale malware/cyberattack would block all inbound and outbound traffic at the network perimeter. This is part of HMH's defenses against cyberattack.

IT Support During Downtime

During the downtime, ITServiceDesk@hmhn.org and EpicServiceDesk@hmhn.org will not be available. Issues should be submitted by phone only:

  • Internal Extension: x3333
  • External Phone Number: 848-237-3333

The Service Desk will be fully staffed during the downtime and will be available as systems are brought back online.
