What You Need to Know
Epic Secure Chat will launch on Monday, April 26, allowing users to send secure messages to clinicians (e.g., doctors, nurses, pharmacists, social workers) in real time from a mobile device or desktop computer.
Users are notified when they receive a message, they can see when people are typing, and they can receive read receipts. Users can set themselves as unavailable and can forward messages to others.
Messages are pushed to Epic Hyperspace when users are logged in and to mobile devices using the Haiku and Rover Epic applications.
Chatting integrates seamlessly into Epic workflows.
