Below please find the NJDOH Respiratory Illness Surveillance Report. This report summarizes surveillance information for COVID-19, Influenza, RSV, and other respiratory illnesses.
Report Highlights:
- COVID-19 activity is low though there have been slight increases in test positivity and hospital admissions since last week.
- COVID-19 variants predominantly in circulation are closely related to fall vaccine formulations.
- Influenza activity level is low. Influenza associated emergency department visits, admissions and percent positivity remain low, however there have been slight increases in influenza.
- Among the current circulating influenza viruses, the most frequently reported subtype is influenza A(H1N1).
- RSV percent positivity and percentage of emergency department visits with a diagnosis of RSV are low but increasing.
- Percent positivity for rhinovirus and enterovirus are at seasonal highs. There have been recent increases in percent positivity for parainfluenza and adenovirus.
