Below please find the NJDOH Respiratory Illness Surveillance Report. This report summarizes surveillance information for COVID-19, Influenza, RSV, and other respiratory illnesses.
Report Highlights:
- COVID-19 activity is low and there have been declines in emergency department visits, hospitalizations and percent positivity in recent weeks.
- COVID-19 variants predominantly in circulation are closely related to fall vaccine formulations.
- Influenza activity level is low statewide and emergency department visits associated with influenza are lower than last week.
- Among the current circulating influenza viruses, the most frequently reported subtype is influenza A(H1N1).
- RSV percent positivity & percentage of emergency department visits with a diagnosis of RSV are low and stable.
- Percent positivity for Rhinovirus and Enterovirus are at seasonal highs.
