Below please find the COVID-19 and Respiratory Illness Activity Report. This report summarizes surveillance information for COVID-19, RSV, and other non-influenza viral respiratory illnesses.
Report highlights:
- For the week ending July 27, 2024, the weekly average percentage of inpatient beds occupied by COVID-19 patients in NJ was 2.1% (CDC COVID Data Tracker).
- The weekly average percentage of ICU beds occupied by COVID-19 patients was 1.3% (CDC COVID Data Tracker).
- In the four weeks leading up to July 27th, LB.1 accounted for 28.3% of sequenced variants. KP.3 and KP.2.3 accounted for 13.2% and 12.7% of sequenced variants, respectively.
- RSV percent positivity & percentage of emergency department visits with a diagnosis of RSV are low and stable.
