Song of Gratitude for Hackensack Meridian Health Health Care Heroes
Jersey Shore University Medical Center Phlebotomy Supervisor Glenn Ramsey contracted COVID-19 in late March. While Glenn, thankfully, did not need a hospital stay to recover from the virus, he was very ill and made two visits to the emergency department when his oxygen levels were low, and was feeling especially sick. Although Glenn did not need intensive care, he was affected by the illness for several weeks, including a 26 lb. weight loss, but is now back at work. Glenn’s wife Donna, who is also a team member, became ill with COVID-19 as well, but she similarly recovered without a hospital stay and is back at work now.
At the same time Glenn’s lifelong friend Tracy Wilson, of Neptune, decided she wanted to express her gratitude to front-line health care workers through an original song posted on her social media account. Tracy shared a video of her performing the song with Glenn. “After hearing the song and its emotional tribute to front-line health care workers, I thought it would be great to share it with everyone at Jersey Shore and throughout Hackensack Meridian Health,” says Glenn.
