Proofpoint Email Quarantine Manager User Guide

  1. Each day that you have quarantined email, you will receive an email from Digest@Hackensackmeridian.org that will look similar to the email below:
  2. From the daily digest email, you can preview each quarantined email by clicking on the “Subject” line.
  3. A preview of the quarantined email shows:
  4. For each quarantined email, whether you preview or not, you have option to:
    1. Release” which will release the email only to your inbox (shown by arrow (a))
    2. Release and Allow Sender” which will release the email to your inbox and add the sender to your “Safe Senders List” (shown by arrow (b)) or
    3. Delete” which will permanently delete that email (shown by arrow (c)
    4. *If you do nothing, the quarantined email will be deleted in 30 days
  5. In addition to managing the quarantined emails from the daily digest email, you can see all undeleted quarantined messages (for the last 30 days) by going to your Quarantine Manager.
    1. To access the Quarantine Manager, either:
      1. click on “Manage My Account” from one of your Digest emails (this is the preferred method) or
      2. go to HTTPS://0009C001.PPHOSTED.COM:10020/EUWEB/LOGIN and log in with your network ID. e.g. Humc\AB1234 or Hmhn\jdoe or Meridianhealth\ghouse etc.
  6. Similar to your options for managing your quarantined email from the daily digest email, you can “Release”, “Delete” or “Allow Sender” from your Quarantine Manager. If you wish to both deliver the email and add the sender to your Safe Senders List you will need to click on both “Release” and “Allow Sender” separately.
  7. In addition, “Delete All” is available in the Quarantine Manager as an option under the Options drop down menu. To delete all quarantined emails, click the box above your list of email (shown by arrow 1) which will result in all boxes being checked, click the options drop down menu (shown as arrow 2) and select Delete All (shown as arrow 3).
  8. If, at any time, you would like to see or manage who is in your “Safe Senders List” or “Blocked Senders List”, you have two options:
    1. Click on “Request Safe/Blocked Senders List” on one of your daily digest emails or
    2. If you are in the Quarantine Manager already, click on ‘Lists’ in the lower left corner of your Quarantine Manager (shown as arrow 1) and choose either the Safe Senders or Blocked list on the left side of the screen.  If you wish to “Edit”or “Delete” the current email addresses, click on the box next to the address you wish to edit or delete (shown as arrow 2) and select the edit or delete button (shown as arrow 3).  Note that the Safe Senders list is shown, but the steps are identical for the Blocked Senders list as well.
  9. You will note that the Safe Senders list will automatically grow as you select “Release and Allow Sender.” However, you can add Blocked Senders or additional Safe Senders by clicking on Lists (shown as arrow 1).  After selecting the Safe Senders or Blocked Senders List, click on ‘New’ (shown as arrow 2) and enter the email address or domain (shown as arrow 3) (e.g. joe@acme.com or com) and then click “Save.”  Note that the Safe Senders list is shown, but the steps are identical for the Blocked Senders list as well.
  10. When finished with the Quarantine Manager, click on “Logout” in the top right hand corner.
