Description

The program will focus on enhancing compliance with AHA Comprehensive Stroke Guidelines. A need to educate health care providers (HCP) in best practice in stroke management has been identified. Topics addressing Stroke prevention for a-fib- a cardiology perspective; stroke systems of care; stroke and cardiac rehab and migraine and stroke are included.

Overall Learning Objectives

At the completion of this educational activity the participant should be able to:

  1. Describe traditional and emerging trends to the care of ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke in adult and pediatric patient population.
  2. Explain how a comprehensive understanding of neuroanatomy can improve clinical practice.
  3. Demonstrate a prioritized approach to caring for cardiac-related stroke patients.
  4. Explain the role of Rehabilitation Therapy in post Stroke care.
